Over the years, our systems have evolved from simple Building
Permitting systems to extensive Community Development
Management systems. This ever evolving process is
largely due to our innovative and tenacious User Group.
Beginning in 1994, Our Annual Users Conference is a great
place to showcase new features, offer training, and hold
roundtable discussions from topics to future development, to
more efficient help desk procedures.
Initially, we held our conferences at various customer locations, but as the group expanded in number, we realized that larger facilities would be necessary. We started by reserving meeting space in hotels each year and moved the conference around geographically. After polling the group year after year it was decided that we would move the conference to the beaches of St Petersburg/Clearwater -- some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
So each year in June, our users meet for a 1.5 day conference, that begins on Thursday afternoon and extends through Friday afternoon. Each year we generally have at least two users give presentations about their jurisdictions, a number of instructional classes, new feature highlights and third-party vendor presentations.
